company.get_company_by_query

Fuzzy-searches companies by name, abbreviation, brand name, or stock short name and returns either a single exact match or up to 5 candidates for the user to choose from. Use it to anchor the entity before any KYB, AML, or IC memo due-diligence step, and to recover when another business tool returns no match (lock the entity here first, then retry that tool). If there is exactly one exact match, pass its unified social credit code straight to downstream tools; if there are multiple candidates, show the full list to the user and wait for an explicit choice — never auto-select the top-ranked candidate, as that risks running due diligence on the wrong entity; if nothing matches, ask the user to check the spelling and retry. For validating an existing company name plus unified social credit code pair, use verify_company_accuracy instead; for a business summary and industry classification of an already-identified company, use get_company_profile.
