tool_targeting_search

Search location targeting tags by keyword and return location IDs, zip code IDs, or postal code IDs for use in targeting. Returned ZIP/postal code IDs can be passed to `zipcode_ids`, and returned location IDs can be passed to `location_ids`, when calling `/adgroup/create/`, `/adgroup/update/`, or `/ad/audience_size/estimate/`. Both `/tool/region/` and `/tool/targeting/search/` can be used to get location IDs. This endpoint must be called with POST because GET URL length is limited. Targeting postal code areas in Brazil, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam is allowlist-only. Targeting newly available countries or regions (Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Bolivia, Cyprus, Algeria, Estonia, Croatia, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Lithuania, Latvia, Nigeria, Puerto Rico, Paraguay, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia) with objective `TRAFFIC`, `LEAD_GENERATION`, `APP_PROMOTION`, or `WEB_CONVERSIONS` and TikTok placement is allowlist-only, with a separate allowlist required for each country or region. Targeting newly available countries or regions (Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Bolivia, Cyprus, Algeria, Estonia, Croatia, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Lithuania, Latvia, Puerto Rico, Paraguay, Serbia, Slovenia, Slovakia) with objective `REACH`, `VIDEO_VIEWS`, or `ENGAGEMENT` and TikTok placement is also allowlist-only, with a separate allowlist required for each country or region. When targeting those countries or regions with `REACH`, `VIDEO_VIEWS`, or `ENGAGEMENT`, pre-bid third-party Brand Safety is not supported, so `brand_safety_type` cannot be `THIRD_PARTY`.

advertiser_id必填

Advertiser ID.

brand_safety_partner

Brand safety partner. Required only when `brand_safety_type` is `THIRD_PARTY`. Pre-bid third-party brand safety is allowlist-only.

brand_safety_type

Brand safety type. Valid only when `placements` includes `PLACEMENT_TIKTOK`. Default is `NO_BRAND_SAFETY`. If set to `THIRD_PARTY`, you must also provide `brand_safety_partner`. `NO_BRAND_SAFETY` means no brand safety solution is used. `EXPANDED_INVENTORY`, `STANDARD_INVENTORY`, and `LIMITED_INVENTORY` use TikTok brand safety filtering with increasing restrictiveness. In the next API version, `EXPANDED_INVENTORY` will replace `NO_BRAND_SAFETY` as the default. To get countries and regions available for your brand safety settings, use `/tool/region/`. Pre-bid first-party Brand Safety for `APP_PROMOTION`, `WEB_CONVERSIONS`, `TRAFFIC`, and `LEAD_GENERATION` in Auction ads, and pre-bid third-party Brand Safety, are allowlist-only features.

geo_types

Location types used to filter results. Allowed values depend on `search_type`: when `search_type` is `FUZZY_SEARCH`, allowed values are `ZIP_CODE`, `COUNTRY`, `PROVINCE`, `CITY`, `DISTRICT`, and `DMA`; when `search_type` is `BATCH_ZIPCODE_SEARCH`, the only allowed value is `ZIP_CODE`; when `search_type` is `BATCH_REGION_SEARCH`, allowed values are `COUNTRY`, `PROVINCE`, `CITY`, `DISTRICT`, and `DMA`.

keywords必填

Keywords used to search targeting tags. Length limit: 1 when `search_type` is `FUZZY_SEARCH`; up to 1,000 when `search_type` is `BATCH_REGION_SEARCH` or `BATCH_ZIPCODE_SEARCH`. When `search_type` is `BATCH_ZIPCODE_SEARCH`, this field must contain exact zip codes or postal codes. For US zip code targeting, provide 5-digit US ZIP codes. For Canadian postal code targeting, provide the 3-character FSA portion. For Brazil postal code targeting, provide the first 5 digits. For Indonesia and Thailand postal code targeting, provide the 5-digit postal codes. For Vietnam postal code targeting, provide the first 3 digits.

objective_type必填

Campaign objective. Allowed values: `REACH`, `TRAFFIC`, `VIDEO_VIEWS`, `LEAD_GENERATION`, `ENGAGEMENT`, `APP_PROMOTION`, `WEB_CONVERSIONS`, `PRODUCT_SALES`.

operating_system

Device operating system to target.

placements必填

Apps where ads will be delivered. If you want to fuzzy search for a zip code ID or postal code ID, this field must include `PLACEMENT_TIKTOK`.

promotion_type

Promotion type. Required when `objective_type` is not `REACH`, `VIDEO_VIEWS`, or `ENGAGEMENT`.

region_codes

Country or region codes used to filter results. Required when `search_type` is `BATCH_ZIPCODE_SEARCH` or `BATCH_REGION_SEARCH`, and must be one of `US`, `CA`, `BR`, `ID`, `TH`, or `VN`. Optional when `search_type` is `FUZZY_SEARCH`, in which case you can pass any supported country or region code.

search_type必填

Search mode. `FUZZY_SEARCH` searches for a single location ID, zip code ID, or postal code ID; you can pass only 1 keyword in `keywords`, and up to 100 results are returned. `BATCH_REGION_SEARCH` searches location IDs in batch with fuzzy matching; you can pass up to 1,000 keywords in `keywords`, and up to 5 results per keyword are returned in relevance order. `BATCH_ZIPCODE_SEARCH` searches zip code IDs or postal code IDs in batch with exact matching only; you can pass up to 1,000 keywords in `keywords`, and each keyword returns one result or no result. `BATCH_ZIPCODE_SEARCH` and `BATCH_REGION_SEARCH` are only for searching zip/postal code IDs or location IDs in batch, while `FUZZY_SEARCH` is only for searching a single zip/postal code ID or location ID. Postal code targeting in Brazil, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam is allowlist-only.
